The Victory is a 45 story, 420 apartment rental at 561 Tenth Avenue, completed in 2002 by Sidney Fetner Associates and the Durst Organization. Designed by Schuman Lichtenstein Claman & Efron, its beige brick tower has a V shaped southeast corner formed by gradually receding masonry, along with two setbacks, numerous corner windows, and a glass clad rooftop enclosure.
Apartments range from studios to two bedrooms, and many have floor-to-ceiling windows. Long entry foyers, pass through kitchens, and 18 to 20 foot living rooms recur in the layouts, while corner bay windows and angled window walls respond to the shape of the tower. Private terraces and balconies are also part of the apartment mix.
The full service building has a 24 hour doorman, concierge, resident storage, central air conditioning, laundry facilities, and in-unit laundry in certain residences. Its amenity spaces include a landscaped roof terrace with barbecue facilities, a garden, resident lounge, party room, and fitness center with a half court basketball court, golf driving range, and putting green. A full service garage, on-site parking, and valet parking are also available.
The Victory occupies the northwest corner of Tenth Avenue and West 41st Street in Hell's Kitchen, near the Theater District, Restaurant Row, Hudson River Park, and Hudson Yards. The A, C, and E trains stop at 42nd Street Port Authority Bus Terminal, and pets are permitted.
