Carter's Review

This handsome, 6-story building at 41 Great Jones Street between the Bowery and Lafayette Street in NoHo was converted in 2018 and has 3 condominium apartments.

The developer is Blumenfeld Development Group and it was designed by Morris Adjmi Architects.

The building was erected in Romanesque Revival style in 1889 by Herter Brothers.

The 2018 conversion removed a fire-escape and replaced with very attractive wrought-iron balconies. A recessed top floor was also added.

The new façade is very graceful façade with delicate rectilinear markings.

Bottom Line

This very attractive, mid-block building in NoHo had its fire-escape removed in 2018 and a nice cosmetic renovation of its façade by Morris Adjmi.

Description

The building has a large cornice and its lobby has Belgian bluestone tile and Kenya Black marble walls.

Amenities

The building has a virtual doorman and storage.
