Historic 1883 cast iron cooperative with six expansive loft residences featuring soaring ceilings, original architectural details, and flexible open layouts. Prime blockfront SoHo location between Prince and Spring Streets, steeped in artistic and musical heritage.
112 Greene Street is a six story, six unit cooperative in a cast iron SoHo building designed by Henry Fernbach and built in 1883. Its history is layered: in the early 1970s it served as an artist run exhibition space, and in the 1980s and 1990s it housed Greene Street Recording Studio, used by Public Enemy and Sonic Youth.
The apartments are large lofts with flexible open layouts, ceiling heights ranging from approximately 11 feet 10 inches to 13 feet, and east and west exposures that bring daylight through the floor plans. Original wood columns and beams, tin ceilings, exposed brick, and hardwood floors recur across the residences, while layouts range from largely open spaces to subdivided homes with separate bedrooms, offices, and interior rooms. In unit laundry is also found in multiple apartments.
112 Greene Street occupies a full blockfront position on Belgian blocked Greene Street between Prince and Spring Streets. The building's apartments have included floor through layouts, with internal partitions used to create private sleeping and work areas without losing the scale of the loft interiors. The cooperative is pet friendly.
The address sits amid SoHo's cast iron architecture, retail, restaurants, and galleries, including the concentration of shops along Prince and Spring Streets. It has also been associated with musician Adam Levine and model Behati Prinsloo.

For some co-ops, instead of price per square foot, we use an estimate of the number of rooms for each sold apartment to chart price changes over time. This is because many co-op listings do not include square footage information, and this makes it challenging to calculate accurate square-foot averages.
By displaying the price per estimated room count, we are able to provide a more reliable and consistent metric for comparing sales in the building. While we hope that this gives you a clearer sense of price trends in the building, all data should be independently verified. All data provided are only estimates and should not be used to make any purchase or sale decision.
