Overview of 22 Grove Street

22 Grove Street, also known as Grove House, is a 1930 Art Deco co-op on Grove Street between Bedford and Bleecker Streets. The six story building contains 40 apartments and retains a Deco façade and a tiled lobby with period motifs.

Many apartments have high ceilings, arched openings, and decorative fireplaces. Several studio layouts use a windowed entry foyer as a separate office area, while windowed kitchens and bathrooms recur in the studio plans. Upper floor homes look over Village treetops and rooftops.

The building has laundry, an intercom, and a live-in superintendent. Pets are permitted, and co-purchasing and pied-à-terre ownership have been allowed with board approval.

Buvette is on the same block, the Little Owl occupies the corner at Bedford Street, and Via Carota is one block away. Narrow, tree lined streets and 19th century townhouses define the surrounding section of the West Village, with Hudson River Park farther west.

Price/Room (Est)

Why are we displaying the estimated price per room?

For some co-ops, instead of price per square foot, we use an estimate of the number of rooms for each sold apartment to chart price changes over time. This is because many co-op listings do not include square footage information, and this makes it challenging to calculate accurate square-foot averages.

By displaying the price per estimated room count, we are able to provide a more reliable and consistent metric for comparing sales in the building. While we hope that this gives you a clearer sense of price trends in the building, all data should be independently verified. All data provided are only estimates and should not be used to make any purchase or sale decision.
