Overview of Luminous Condos at 214 Richardson Street

Built atop an abandoned one story warehouse, Luminous Condos is a 10 story Williamsburg condominium at 214 Richardson Street, completed in 2009. The gray brick building was designed by Robert M. Scarano Jr. for John Ruha, a partner in Three on Two Fourteen LLC, and is also known as the Richardson. Set back behind a one story gate structure on a narrow site between Humboldt and North Henry Streets, it has a more private street presence than its height might suggest.

The nine residences are two bedroom, two bath apartments, each with a street facing balcony and floor to ceiling windows. Open layouts, high ceilings, central air conditioning, and in-unit laundry recur across the homes, along with broad skyline views toward Brooklyn and Manhattan. Several layouts are organized as full floor residences with private keyed entry directly into the apartment, while upper homes have multiple exposures and two private outdoor spaces.

Building amenities include resident storage, a landscaped garden or courtyard, intercom service, security cameras, and a virtual doorman. The apartments have contemporary kitchens with stainless steel appliances, islands, dishwashers, and wine storage, while windowed bathrooms and custom storage appear in multiple homes. Optional parking is also associated with the building.

Luminous Condos is a couple of blocks east of the Brooklyn Queens Expressway and near McCarren Park and McGolrick Park. The Graham Avenue L station is about a five minute walk away, with restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and local shops concentrated along Graham Avenue and throughout Williamsburg.
