208 East 84th Street is a five story pre-war co-op in Yorkville where some apartments open to private outdoor space. Built in 1910, the walk-up contains 80 apartments, and the cooperative was established in 1987.
Layouts range from one to two bedrooms. Many apartments have high ceilings, hardwood floors and substantial closet storage, while windowed kitchens and bathrooms recur throughout the building. Several homes have been reconfigured with kitchens open to the living space.
A live-in superintendent oversees the property, and fiber optic internet service is available. The co-op permits pets and pied-à-terre ownership, with subletting allowed after one year of ownership.
The building is between Second and Third avenues, two blocks south of the East 86th Street corridor. The 86th Street station at Second Avenue serves the Q train, while the 4, 5 and 6 trains stop at 86th Street and Lexington Avenue; Central Park and Museum Mile are farther west.

For some co-ops, instead of price per square foot, we use an estimate of the number of rooms for each sold apartment to chart price changes over time. This is because many co-op listings do not include square footage information, and this makes it challenging to calculate accurate square-foot averages.
By displaying the price per estimated room count, we are able to provide a more reliable and consistent metric for comparing sales in the building. While we hope that this gives you a clearer sense of price trends in the building, all data should be independently verified. All data provided are only estimates and should not be used to make any purchase or sale decision.
