About Windsor 400, 400 East 71st Street
This large, beige-brick building was erected in 1979 by the Manocherian organization, one of the city's major residential developers, and is distinguished by its many bay windows that enliven its facades.
The 24-story, rental building has an elegant lobby with a canopied entrance and a driveway. It has sidewalk landscape, a garage, a concierge, valet service, video security, discrete air-conditioners and permits no dogs. There are 15 to 20 apartments a floor.
The building is one block away from Sotheby's, the famous auction house, on York Avenue that helped spur a major redevelopment of this neighborhood with many high-rise luxury apartment buildings.
There is good crosstown bus service on 72nd Street but subways are not close. There are many restaurants and good neighborhood shopping in the vicinity.
