Topping last week's recorded sales is a $13.25 million duplex at 215 Sullivan Street, a Victorian-Gothic building first built in 1910 by the renowned architect Calvert Vaux, co-designer of Central Park, and then converted into a 25-unit condominium in 2014. The nearly 5,000-square-foot home was last purchased for $13.6 million in late 2015.

Last week saw just 12 contracts signed in Manhattan at $4 million and above, the lowest total since the first two weeks of January, according to Olshan's latest market report. The priciest contract came from 4 Sutton Square, a 5-story townhouse that was originally asking $19.5 million when it first came on the market in October 2016. The four-bedroom home finally entered contract for $12.9 million, a $6.5 million discount.

The seller is none other than the controversial former Abercrombie & Fitch CEO, Mike Jeffries. He picked up the pad in 2005 for nearly $11 million and hired architect Daniel Romualdez (70 Vestry, 252 East 57th Street) to undertake a three-year restoration of the 4,004-square-foot home, which was built in 1921 for inventory Henry Sprague. Cosmetics Empire founder Florence Nightingale Graham, better known as Elizabeth Arden, also called the townhouse home at one point. Despite the famous names attached to the home, Jeffries still won't be getting top dollar for it.
