27 Wooster Street is a luxury condominium building completed in 2015 at the corner of Wooster and Grand Street in SoHo. The 9-story T-shaped building was designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF) after taking over from Smith-Miller + Hawkinson's original 2007 design. The project was developed by Alex Stawski and Anthony Leichter, with interior design by Thomas Juul-Hansen.
The building contains 14-16 residences, featuring full-height operable windows and sophisticated finishes throughout. Standard apartments range from 2,400-2,500 square feet, while the duplex penthouse spans 6,700 square feet and includes a private outdoor pool. The seventh floor unit offers 5,075 square feet with five bedrooms.
All residences feature 10-foot ceilings, bleached white oak floors, and kitchens by Smallbone of Devises equipped with Wolf, Subzero, and Miele appliances. Master bathrooms showcase marble slab walls and floors, bleached zebrawood cabinetry, Toto Neorest toilets, and Lefroy Brooks fixtures. Units include smart-home technology controlling HVAC, lighting, and window treatments.
The building's architectural design respects SoHo's historic character while incorporating modern elements. The Grand Street elevation is divided into two sections that relate to neighboring buildings' proportions, while the Wooster Street façade steps down to match the adjacent structure's scale.
Amenities include a 24-hour attended lobby with terrazzo floors and walnut walls, direct key-locked elevator access, a fitness center, bicycle storage, cold storage, and parking options. The building's location provides easy access to SoHo's renowned shopping, dining, and cultural attractions.
The development represents a significant architectural addition to the SoHo-Cast Iron Historic District, combining contemporary luxury with contextual design elements that complement the neighborhood's historic character.
