GreenlandForest City Partners
Launched in 2014 by Greenland USA and Forest City New York, Greenland Forest City Partners is the joint venture developing Pacific Park, a 22-acre mixed-use community in Brooklyn near the Barclays Center. The venture focuses on large-scale residential development; Pacific Park will include roughly 6,430 rental apartments when complete, about 2,250 of which will be affordable. Its portfolio consists mainly of modern high-rise rental buildings ranging from studios to three-bedroom layouts, designed for contemporary urban living. These towers typically offer amenities like fully equipped fitness centers, landscaped roof terraces, communal lounges and children’s play areas.
For example, one Pacific Park development is 535 Carlton Avenue in Brooklyn, a fully affordable rental tower built by GFCP. The project sits above Atlantic Terminal, offering residents direct access to multiple subway lines and the LIRR. Greenland Forest City Partners presents its buildings as part of modern, amenity-rich communities in which new apartments come with on-site gyms, landscaped roof decks and ground-floor shops. This approach aligns with Greenland USA's stated vision of creating 'vibrant' mixed-use neighborhoods.
