"This 9-story rental apartment building at 596 Baltic Street between Third and Fourth avenues in the Boerum Hill section of Brooklyn was completed in 2017 by Adam America Real Estate and Common Living. It has 70 units, about half of which are co-living apartments so that the building can contain a total of about 140 residents.

"I lived in this building for 16 months in a one bedroom. The finishes were fine but rushed. Doors fell off of cabinets, bathtub seal was evidently showing cracks in a brand new apartment and had a problem with leaks, the air conditioning units were such an afterthought considering the high end nature of this building. On top of all this, the leading company, Common, has struggled immensely with their operations and communication. For the first 15 months of my lease term they didn't let the utility bill me directly and they charged and average of $250/month usage fee, in addition to the $150/month member fee on top of rent. When I received the bill from the ConEd for my final month which was a hot one, it was only $105. Overall this was a very bad experience for the premium that was paid. If you're In the 2500-5000 price point you should look elsewhere as Common fails to deliver on what is expected when you pay such a premium and operations deficiencies aside, other buildings in the areas have far superior ammenities at the same rates. I'd advise against this building and anything else operated by Common."
