"This 6-story, mid-block apartment building at 155 East 71st Street was erected in 1940 and has 55 condominium apartments.

But literary license is important, especially in New York City and especially on the Upper West Side and this block does have its glories: the putti on the entrance gate at the fabulous Dorilton apartment building on the northeast corner of Broadway and 71st Street and the very impressive Gothic façade of the Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church directly across 71st Street from this building's entrance." "This is a rare pre-war condo in one of the most desirable parts of the UWS. The building is mid-sized. No DM, but a live in super. There was a fire in this building about 2 years ago, but all repairs have been made as I understand it. I recently did a deal in the building - studio sold for $450,000. The maintenance is low in this building compared to others. This building is work/live friendly, and there are some commercial offices whom occupy units on the 1st floor."
