Carter Horsley's Building Review Carter Horsley

53 CITYREALTY RATING

Carter's Review

This 9-story, 108-unit condominium project is rather spartan in its appearance, but it offers quite a few amenities despite its size. Completed in 1985, it was designed by David Roth for Geloda-Briarwood and Vincent Riso. The building has a sundeck, a children's playroom, a private garden, video security, laundry facilities in each apartment, a garage, a health club, a concierge and a doorman. While Broadway was developed with a fairly uniform mid-rise cornice line, Columbus Avenue still retains a low-rise profile with few exceptions. As plazas are really not necessary on such a broad avenue, a low-rise building such as this is not at all inappropriate despite its rather pedestrian appearance. The building has a residents' lounge and a playroom for young children. Half of the apartments face the attractive garden.
