Skyline Developers is one step closer to the 34-story tower planned for 185 East 80th Street. The developer has closed on $19.2 million in air rights from 1420-1424 Third Avenue, a series of low-rise buildings owned by the Brodsky Organization. The proposed building will be designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects and house 61 condos on top of ground-floor retail space. Amenities will include a fitness center, billiards room, pet spa, and laundry room.
As recently filed permits show, a 34-story, 508-foot-tall tower is poised to take shape at 185 East 80th Street, on the corner of Third Avenue. Demolition permits for the low-rise building currently on the site and three adjacent low-rise properties were recently filed. Upon completion, the new building will have ground-floor retail, 66 housing units, and amenities like a fitness center, a billiards room, a laundry room, a pet spa, and on-site parking.
