Comment About the Building

I've lived in this building for several months and have been extremely disappointed. The rent concession is nice but don't be fooled...They market the units as a luxury but the finishes are cheap and the construction seemed to be rushed as cabinets, doors, lighting, etc were not properly installed and maintenance/construction had to come back many times after I moved in to fix. I didn't find out that we had to share the building with a hotel until after I signed the lease, which to me seemed shady. There's also the problem of noise from construction sites nearby. At night, there's often construction going on inside the NYSE or in front of it and that can go on until 3AM. Although this has only kept me up a handful of times, it's still been annoying because you don?t know when they?ll decide to do it. There?s also major construction happening directly behind 20 Broad on Exchange Alley, which means you can't open the windows because the air is so full of construction dust... this becomes a HUGE issue if you want to cook because the ventilation in the kitchen and bathroom are terrible. If you want to cook, you must open the windows and sometimes the doors and windows together because otherwise, the fire alarm will go off. This is a problem that all residents deal with and I hear alarms going off pretty often. Other issues I've experienced: seeing a mouse in my unit and trash room, sharing the building with hotel guests who like to stand right outside the door to smoke, not being able to be dropped off by a car in front of the building because of vehicle restrictions on both Wall St and Broad St (not a building problem), management attitudes when issues are brought to their attention, lack of amenities (everything is still under construction and they seem to be prioritizing the hotel). The upsides of living here are: convenience, free gym membership at a cool gym 1 block away (until the 20 Broad gym is completed), really nice doormen
