Description

Iconic 141 Fifth Avenue in the Flatiron District has a history that dates back to the late 19th century, when this Beaux-Arts building was constructed as the Merchants Bank of New York.

Its top ten floors were converted into apartments in 2009. Units feature large windows and have generous layouts, while kitchens and bathrooms are equipped with modern, premium appliances and fixtures. Apartments are also distinguished by detailed architectural touches, as the developers worked to maintain its original finishes.

Carter Horsley's Review

Carter Horsley's Building Review
"One of the grandest buildings in the Flatiron District is 141 Fifth Avenue, the southern portion of the building was erected in 1897 and designed by Robert Maynicke and the building was extended to the north in 1900 by architect Henry Edwards Ficken.

In 2009, the top ten floors of the 12-story building, which is distinguished by its fine domed cupola and its curved corner, were converted to use as 38 residential condominiums." Read Carter's Full Review
