One48, completed in 2011, is a 14-story condominium building located at 148 East 24th Street between Lexington and Third Avenues. Developed by ADG Langsam (a partnership between Langsam Property Services and American Development Corporation) and designed by architect Michael Even of EM Design Group, the building contains 55 residential units and features distinctive stepped terraces on its western façade.
The building offers a mix of studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom residences, many featuring private outdoor spaces. Units are characterized by floor-to-ceiling windows, white lacquer cabinetry, Caesarstone countertops, and custom fixtures including Vasser faucets and Schluss door handles - both brands manufactured by developer Perry Finkelman. Bathrooms include deep soaking tubs with rainshowers and bamboo vanities.
One48's amenities include a 24-hour attended lobby, automated parking system, landscaped roof deck with barbecue area, fitness center, and bicycle storage. The building is maintained by a live-in superintendent and typically has only five apartments per floor, creating an intimate residential environment.
Situated at the intersection of Gramercy, Flatiron, and NoMad neighborhoods, the building provides convenient access to Madison Square Park, multiple subway lines (6, N, R), and numerous dining and shopping options. Originally planned in 2008 to have 43 units, the final design was modified to include 55 residences when completed in 2011.
