169 Eagle Street is a five story, seven residence condominium completed in 2020 and designed and developed by local firm Mortar Architecture and Development. Its brick façade references Greenpoint’s working waterfront history while incorporating floor-to-ceiling glass, custom ironwork, and matte black detailing.
The building’s residential program includes studios through three bedroom homes, with duplex and split level layouts among its more distinctive arrangements. Nearly every residence has private outdoor space, including balconies, terraces, gardens, or roof decks; penthouse homes have private rooftop terraces, while garden homes open to private backyards. Many homes also have central heating and cooling and in-unit laundry.
Interiors share a restrained contemporary palette of custom gray lacquer cabinetry, wide plank oak flooring, open kitchens with Caesarstone countertops, and bathrooms with LaCava sinks and Kohler and Grohe fixtures. Oversized floor-to-ceiling windows are a recurring feature, and select homes include private storage.
Three blocks from the East River waterfront, 169 Eagle Street is close to India Street’s NYC Ferry stop and Greenpoint restaurants including Milk and Roses, Wenwen, Taqueria Ramirez, Paulie Gee’s Slice Shop, and Bakeri. Threes Brewing and Sonny’s Corner are also nearby, with CitiBike docking around the corner.
