This very attractive, 7-story building at 66-72 Saint Nicholas Avenue on the southwest corner at 114th Street in Harlem was erected in 1915 and has 54 condominium units.  It is known as The Lucile and as St. Nicholas Court.  It was converted in 1991. 

It is convenient to public transportation.

 

Bottom Line

A highly decorative, pre-war, mid-rise building with a chamfered corner at 114th Street and ornate entrance surround and abundant terracotta detailing.

Description

The red-brick building has a chamfered corner, a nice cornice and fire-escapes. 

The second floor has a ribbed façade of masonry and terracotta. 

The end two window bays have quoined surrounds. 

The sixth floor has arched windows and the seventh floor has window surrounds with pediments, some curved and some arched. 

It has a one-story white base with a broad three-step-up entrance and a disabled ramp. 

The entrance has a handsome and ornate two-story surround and the first story has globular sconces.

The building has a video intercom, storage units, a courtyard, a laundry and a bicycle room.

Apartments

Apartment 7A is a three-bedroom unit with a long entry foyer that leads to a 20-foot-long living/dining room with an open kitchen with an island.  The five-side, 14-foot-long master bedroom is angled and has three windows. 

Apartment 7F is a two-bedroom unit with a 15-foot-long living room next to an eat-in, 15-foot-foot long kitchen. 

Apartment 7D is a two-bedroom unit with an entry foyer next to an enclosed kitchen that leads to a 22-foot-long living room. 

Apartment 5G is a two-bedroom unit with an entry foyer next to a 10-foot-long kitchen with a breakfast bar and an 18-foot-long living room.  One of the bedrooms is angled.
