Foundation work nearly complete; CityRealty

Foundation work continue apace at Victor Group and Lend Lease’s condominium venture, 281 Fifth Avenue. Designed by Rafael Viñoly Architects, the slender, 260,000 square foot project will accommodate 130 upscale residences throughout 52 stories. Anticipated to rise more than 700 feet above its NoMad neighborhood, the slender tower will be among the tallest residential buildings in the city and the all-encompassing views from its residences will include Madison Square Park, both rivers and the downtown and Midtown skylines. The two new views above published by a designer of the project give us two new glimpses of its pin-striped exterior whose corners are interrupted by double-height, outdoor spaces. Occupancy is expected 2018.
