Design lovers all over the world have anticipated Pritzker Prize-winner Alvaro Siza’s first building in the United States. Co-developers Sumaida + Khurana and LENY released a new rendering of the building at 611 West 56th Street. The site, which was formerly home to the Gristedes corporate headquarters, is in the rapidly rising Hudson West neighborhood. The development team has also secured an acquisition loan and begun demolition and foundation work.

The finished building will stand 35 stories in height and feature 80 one-bedrooms through penthouses. Many apartments will have private terraces. Amenities will include a landscaped roof garden and sun deck, state-of-the-art fitness center, children’s playroom, and entertainment space. Sales are expected to begin fall 2018.
