Over the past several years, Hell's Kitchen has blossomed into a must-see neighborhood with a thriving dining and nightlife scene, redeveloped parks, a new film studio, and well-thought residential developments. The latest addition is Linden Lane, a seven-story boutique condominium located at 349 West 51st Street that has just launched sales.
The 32 units include single-floor units, duplexes with double-height windows and soaring ceilings, garden-level triplexes with townhouse atmospheres and private gardens, and penthouses with private roof terraces. The first public availabilities start at $1.65 million for one-bedrooms, $2.3 million for two-bedrooms, and $3.35 million for three-bedrooms. Exterior construction is winding down, and closings are expected to begin in 2026.

Linden Lane was developed by Cadence Property Group, whose portfolio includes The Sorting House a short distance away. Its design by Architecture Outfit makes a modern but respectful addition to its block with its low-rise height and red brick facade.

Linden Lane rose on the former site of Hotalings News Agency, which carried daily newspapers and magazines from all over the world and went bust in the wake of the internet (h/t The Real Deal). The vacant site directly to the east will likely be redeveloped at some point. Here's hoping neighboring bar Hush doesn't meet the same fate as Barracuda in Chelsea, which closed in May 2025 after damage from construction on a new building next door.
Living room
All interiors feature high ceilings, rift- and quartered white oak flooring, individually controlled HVACs with filtered air, and Whirlpool washers with hybrid heat pump dryers. Kitchens come outfitted with custom white oak cabinetry, Super White marble countertops and backsplash, oversized pantries, and a full suite of Jenn-Air appliances, including refrigerator and freezer, microwave, induction cooktop, convection oven, and dishwasher. Primary baths are finished with Italian Daino Reale marble, custom oak vanities, and floor-to-ceiling glass shower walls.

There is generous storage space throughout, but deeded storage units are included with each residence. Also, as many apartments' floor plans include dedicated home offices, these homeowners will receive a private consultation with an ergonomics expert from Humanscale to optimize this space for health and comfort. This is the furniture brand's first residential partnership, and it also designed the building's coworking lounge with Zoom room.

Residents of Linden Lane arrive to The Lane, a gated arrival and departure with landscaped gardens and secluded seating areas by LaGuardia Design Group, whose work includes Verdi Square on the Upper West Side. The building's fitness center has Peloton and Life Fitness equipment as well as a separate yoga/movement studio with access to a Zen Patio. The building's roof deck has an outdoor kitchen, dining and lounging areas, and open city views. Additional amenities and conveniences include part-time doorman service, virtual doorman service, a package room, and a bike room
The amenities at Linden Lane cultivate an oasis of calm in a bustling section of Midtown. The building is located in close proximity to Central Park, Hudson River Park, popular Hell's Kitchen dining and nightlife, and the dining, retail, and transportation of Columbus Circle.
It is also located in close proximity to the Theater District. The 2024-2025 Broadway season was the highest-grossing season in recorded history, though some cynics say this is because ticket prices are higher than ever. In any case, Broadway actors' and musicians' contracts are still being negotiated as of this writing, and a strike has not been ruled out if their new contracts do not include increased wages, increased healthcare contributions, and greater employment and income security.
However, there is still much to look forward to and feel optimistic about where Broadway productions are concerned. Tony Award-winning shows Oh, Mary! and Operation: Mincemeat each announced another extension. Fall 2025 openings like The Queen of Versailles, Punch, Chess, and Waiting for Godot have generated considerable buzz.

Tourists fly in from all over the world to see productions like these. But for residents of Linden Lane, the theaters are a short distance from their building, which offers a welcome and peaceful respite after the crowds.
