New Look for Bed Stuy's Controversial 410 Tompkins Avenue

At the end of 2014, Vasco Ventures closed on three individual buildings and a vacant lot in Bedford-Stuyvesant as a development site for a six-story, 35-unit luxury rental at 410 Tompkins Avenue to be known as Hancock Manor for its location on the corner of Hancock Street. The existing buildings were approved for demolition shortly after, and a recent visit revealed that construction of the new building is just making its way above street level.
Upon completion, many of the apartments in Hancock Manor will have large balconies. This elevator building’s amenities will include a top-floor gym with a half-glass rooftop, rooftop terrace, laundry room, bike room, and 18 parking spaces. It is conveniently located a few blocks from the Nostrand Avenue and Kingston-Throop A and C subway stops, as well as popular neighborhood restaurants and bars.
