Price Cuts: Designer Tribeca loft slashed by $400K; Reductions at converted Brooklyn brownstone

In Bedford-Stuyvesant, the classic brownstone building at 583 Putnam Avenue was converted to a four-unit boutique condominium. The building's Italianate facade, which dates back to the late 19th century, has been beautifully preserved, while the interiors have been updated to feature such modern conveniences as stainless steel kitchen appliances, stylish primary baths with rainfall showers and anti-fog mirrors, in-unit laundry, Herido home speaker systems, and virtual doorman service. However, it took shape in a crowded boutique condo market, and the developer recently reduced prices on all four units.
