The exterior is being redone and an additional floor is being added. According to city records, the building was purchased from First Ebenezer Baptist Church in March 2017 for $1,706,800. The rental building directly next door at 2457 Frederick Douglass Boulevard recently underwent extensive renovations to both the exterior and interior, too.
When complete, the structure will have six floors with eight residential units spread throughout, likely rentals. Residential units will be on the second through sixth floors, and will include both a duplex unit and a triplex unit.
