Rentals have officially launched at Steinway & Graham, a new, six-story, mixed-use complex at 34-01 Steinway Street in Astoria. Developer Schuman Properties brings two full floors of retail to the bustling commercial district, with 57 luxury rental units rising above in a series of terraced setbacks, topped with a sprawling sundeck that looks upon the nearby Long Island City skyline.

The dynamic facade, designed by Queens-based architecture firm Angelo NG & Anthony NG, responds to the vibrant neighborhood. Steinway Street anchors the premier shopping, dining, and nightlife district in western Queens. A dense mix of residential buildings on the side streets balances the commercial bustle. The Steinway Street station across the street provides a short commute to Manhattan via the M and R trains.

The nearby UA Kaufman Astoria Cinemas 14 theater and the Museum of the Moving Image form part of the Kaufman Astoria Studios complex, which anchors the eponymous Kaufman Arts District. Steinway & Graham, situated at the crossing of Steinway Street and 34th Avenue, contributes to the arts scene with RIOULT Dance NY, which accounts for a portion of the retail space.

Amenity offerings and residence finishes respond to growing demand for upscale living in Astoria, which, as per a report by Modern Spaces, sees 24-percent annual growth in average unit size. Aside from the roof deck, Steinway & Graham sports a fitness center, resident lounge with a kitchenette, co-working area, laundry room, bicycle storage, on-site parking with electric vehicle charging stations, and a video intercom system.

Apartments span between 407 and 1,072 square feet, and rent from $2,275 to $4,500. Suzanne Stait Interiors outfitted the pads with quartz counters in the kitchen, Fisher and Paykal fridges, Grohe bathroom fixtures, and in-unit washer and dryers in most two-bedroom units.
