Kushner Studios is ready to give Bedford-Stuyvesant the geometric treatment with this upcoming new rental at 20 Prescott Place, located between Herkimer Street and Atlantic Avenue. The neighborhood has been seeing a rise in new construction lately, but no design has been as striking as this latest one (looking at you, 849 Dekalb Avenue). Of course, many architects have chosen the contextual route (see 165 Malcolm X Boulevard, 514 Halsey Street, 701 Lafayette), which doesn't typically grant room for trendier designs.

Permits were filed by Mordechai Halberstam of Mazeh Realty last year to replace 20 Prescott's long-vacant 1-story warehouse with an 8-story, 49-unit building, which will contain 32,462 square feet of pure residential space. The bulky rental will provide its residents with amenities like storage, a laundry facility, a bike room, a children's playroom, a fitness center, outdoor recreation space in the back of the building, and a rooftop terrace.

The building will rise two blocks away from the A and C train at Ralph Avenue.
A construction timeline has not been announced.
