Shortly after the first public listings in The Giorgio Armani Residences came online, a penthouse in the forthcoming building took Manhattan's top contract for the last week of September 2023 with a $25,000,000 asking price. Olshan Realty's market report notes that the building began quietly marketing the apartments, which will be situated on top of a new Giorgio Armani flagship on Madison Avenue, over the summer; the residential component is reportedly half sold.
The buyer was not identified, but Giorgio Armani has announced plans to live in the building where he has designed the interiors of all the residences. Olshan notes that this is up from $11,250,000 when the building first launched sales in 2018, and that the unidentified buyer will have access to luxury amenities as well as services in the Faena Hotel in the adjacent tower.
