Last week in Manhattan and in northern Brooklyn, 432 sales listings debuted on the market. The median price of a condo came in at $1.595 million (1,5222) and co-ops in at a median of $891,500 (1,0332). The most noteworthy listing to hit the market was the Sutton Place townhouse of the illustrious, Pritzker Prize-winning architect I.M. Pei. The priciest home to return to the market was hedge fund mogul Steve Cohen's One Beacon Court penthouse, once asking for $115 million, is now at a basement-bargain price of $34 million.
