Between the coronavirus pandemic, the lockdown to contain it, and the economic fallout, New York City apartments experienced deep price reductions over the past several months. However, that time may be drawing to a close. Election-year anxiety has come to an end for the moment, and the promise of a coronavirus vaccine has people feeling a little more hopeful even in a dark time.

From December 16-22, 2020, over 1,500 sales and rental listings throughout Manhattan, northern Brooklyn, western Queens, and parts of the Bronx experienced price reductions. A full, sortable table may be found below; please note that all of the following figures reflect cumulative price cuts as opposed to the most recent reductions.

The price cuts come at a time when there are 11,002 condos, co-ops, condops, and townhouses for sale. The median Manhattan condo price has inched up from last week to $1,997,388, or $1,659 per square foot. The co-op median, on the other hand, dropped 1.1 percent to $884,073 (all figures per CityRealty listings).
