Price Cuts: Trump World Tower aerie cut by $1.3M; Striking Osborne studio gets 15% haircut

Between 2016 and 2020, a number of Trump-built properties in New York City successfully voted to remove the former president's name from their buildings in protest of some of his most odious policies. Trump World Tower in United Nations Plaza is notably not among them, though it has not been for lack of trying. As recently as earlier this summer, building residents lobbied to remove both the name from the building and the Trump Organization as the building manager, but the condo board held fast.

One reason the residents sought the change was because they say the Trump branding hurts their property values, with one person claiming a potential renter turned around and left after seeing the name on the building. CityRealty data shows that prices in Trump-branded buildings are up from previous lows, but still not performing anywhere near previous highs. It is against this backdrop that two apartments in Trump World Tower were among about 190 New York listings that experienced price reductions from July 2-8, 2024.

A selection of notable listings, as well as a full chart of last week's discounts, may be seen below. Please be advised that all quoted figures reflect cumulative price cuts as opposed to the most recent reductions.
