Sales have launched for a two-building boutique condominium development in East Harlem called The Style. Designed by Gene Kaufman Architects, the project includes two 6-story buildings on opposite ends of a block-through parcel of land, and are unified by an interconnecting courtyard. The unique composition of the development gives The Style two addresses, 51 East 131st Street and 48 East 132nd Street which are bounded by Madison and Park avenues. It offers studio to two-bedroom layouts, with prices starting from $349,000. Developed by the Fane Organization, the complex's first three homes were recently listed by Halstead Property Development Marketing.

Fane indicated the building was geared to target younger city dwellers who desire functional and modern living space. For relative affordability within that demographic, floor plans have been “optimized to allow for smaller units.” Currently on the market is a 426-square-foot studio (Unit 5D) for $398,800, and two one-bedrooms; the 588-square-foot 4A for $561,000, and the 649-square-foot 4B for $629,999.

Interiors have a modern design and feature 5-inch white oak floors and 9-foot coffered ceilings. Kitchens have a Bosch dishwasher, a stainless steel microwave and range, track lighting, and both white caesarstone countertops and white cabinetry, offering a palate that homeowner's can make uniquely their own. Homes also feature in-unit Bosch washers/dryers, recessed windows, and abundant closet space. Building amenities include a virtual doorman, the building's interconnected landscaped garden with a gas barbecue grill, a resident lounge, fitness center and yoga area open 24/7, a bike room, a pet spa, and private storage.
