According to a CityRealty market report, real estate prices are dipping for a number of reasons, and an overabundance of luxury apartments cannot be overlooked. Proof of that can be found at 165 Perry Street: The 5-bedroom, 4.5-bath penthouse, where Robert De Niro lived for two years after his uptown home was damaged in a fire, was originally listed for $40 million in April 2015. Three years, a few price cuts, and several market corrections later, it has sold for $18 million. Bethenny Frankel visited the penthouse but didn’t buy it – according to Acris, that honor goes to an entity known as The FG&N Trust.

As the following photo tour shows, this penthouse on the top two floors of a commercial loft-turned-cooperative has more to offer than a sprinkling of star power and a location between the West Village and the Meatpacking District. Between the expansive interiors and 5,200 square feet of private outdoor space, it comes to an impressive total of nearly 11,000 square feet of space. It also comes with a private parking garage with room for seven cars.
