Busy Brooklyn developer and architect Alex Barrett is moving full-steam ahead on an under-construction condominium at 762 Park Place in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. The building will stand 7-stories tall above the tree-lined block between Rogers and Nostrand avenues, with 26,000 square feet of residential space. A dark and sleek modern facade is articulated by large oversized windows and within will be 23 condominium residences that fuse natural finishes with minimalist design.
Warm wood materials in the lobby soothe the transition from outdoor and indoor, and sets the tone for the apartments above. Inside each home are sleek kitchens, oversized windows that stretch nearly from floor to ceiling, and an interplay of glossy and matte finishes that solidify Barrett's clean aesthetic. Select units will include private terraces.
Compass has just launched sales for the building’s one- to three-bedroom units, with six apartments now on the market. A single one-bedroom unit has an asking price of $720,000; a pair of two-bedroom units start from $875,000; and three 3-bedroom units start from $950,000.
Amenities in the pet-friendly building will include parking, a bike room, an elevator, and a video intercom. A common roof deck tops the building and will offer expansive views of the Brooklyn and Manhattan skylines.
The building is close to many of the bustling shops and restaurant of Franklin and Nostrand avenues and is convenient to several subway and bus lines. Prospect Park, the Brooklyn Museum, the Botanic Gardens, and the Brooklyn Children’s Museum are only short distance away.
Construction has recently reached street level and the building is set for completion in 2017. Barrett was also the developer and architect responsible for a new condo building at 440 Atlantic Avenue and the conversion of the Broken Angel at 4-8 Downing Street.
Construction progress as of July 2016
