Here's our glance at an upcoming rehabilitation and addition of a charming walk-up building at 675 Grand Street in East Williamsburg. Jason Wisotsky's Four Corners Development Group are the developers, and the design is by Joshua Felix of J. Goldman Design with BMG Design Build as the architects of record. Earlier this year, building permits were approved for the one-story addition and interior retrofit. The structure will grow by 17 feet and increase in size by 1,700 square feet. The interiors will be divided among 10 apartments, with three units on 2nd and 3rd floors, and two units on the 3rd and 4th floors. The building will feature a laundry room, recreational area, and a ground-floor storefront.

Renderings of the re-imagined building show the existing red-brick exterior will be replaced with black brick, white accents, and neon-green window surroundings. The windows will be elongated and will have glass Juliet balconies. The intricate cornice will remain and will be painted white. Above the existing roofline, a discreet one-story addition will rise with four street-facing windows and a jet-black facade. Partial demolition of the structure is currently underway.
