Blue Stone Capital's 447 Meeker Avenue will add a modern touch to the Greenpoint - Williamsburg border. Standing near the corner of Graham Avenue, alongside an entrance to the Brooklyn Queens Expressway, 447 Meeker will host 13 apartments across 6 floors. The façade will feature a brown brick facade with an eclectic triangular motif of sunshades and protruding bricks patterned throughout. The tallest segment of the building will reach roughly 75 feet and will hold a 8,263-square-foot building. Joel Berkowitz of Bluestone Capital filed plans to demolish the existing three-story, three-unit 1920 townhouse that previously occupied the site in June of 2015. They tapped BMG Design Build as the architect of record, and J Goldman Design, a BEAM Group company, for the interiors.
Joshua Felix of J Goldman Design headed up the interior design. The unique geometric design on the outside will be carried through the lobby and hallways. Kitchens will feature stainless steel appliances, sleek brown cabinetry, and tiled backsplashes. Bathrooms will feature floating brown sinks and stunning tile-and-glass-encompassed baths. The first three floors will each house three residences, and the sixth floor will feature one penthouse. Atop the building will sit a 275-foot roof deck, ideal for entertaining and taking in the views of the BQE. The building will also feature seven parking spaces for cars and seven bicycle parking spots.
