On Tuesday night the Art-Deco tower 70 Pine Street illuminated the Financial District as it shined its lights for the first time since 2009. The 1932 Clinton & Russell-designed building has been decked with a new installation of 56 white energy-saving LED lights. Before Rose Associates bought the property, AIG had been using it to hold their offices. Now, Rose is bringing life and light back to the building; it currently holds 644 rental apartments, a Furnished Quarters Q&A hotel, and 35,000 square feet of retail space.
This 66-story skyscraper stands 952 feet tall, one of FiDis tallest pre-war towers. Its residences are split into city, tower, and penthouse collections and offer interesting cityscape views. They also feature 12-foot ceilings, hardwood oak floors, and individual heating/cooling systems. Building amenities include a children’s playroom, recreational gaming rooms, a rooftop bar, LA PALESTRA fitness and wellness center, and more.
