"The building is a 4 story walk-up with small apartments. It is locked with inter-com. There is through the wall air-conditioning. There is no laundry facility in the building (although there are a few illegal washers/dryers in some apartments). There is no storage. Very easy informal board. THe coop actually consists of 2 buildings 351 & 353 West 53rd Street. The building is in Clinton right by 9th Avenue. The neighborhood is changing dramatically; becoming much more upscale. There was a new condominium built from the ground up directly across the street from this buildng. It`s in fairly close proximity to the new Time Warner complex and within in walking distance to Central Park, Carnegie Hall, etc. There`s a subway entrance at 7th Avenue & 56th Street; the crosstown bus at 51st Street and the north/south bus at the corner."
