The Continental is a 48 story rental tower at 885 Sixth Avenue, on the southeast corner of 32nd Street overlooking Greeley and Herald Squares. Completed in 2011, the glass building contains 336 apartments and was designed by Costas Kondylis for Atlantic Realty Development; northeast exposures take in the Empire State Building and the ornate façades of the former Martinique and McAlpin hotels.

Apartments generally have roomy, loftlike proportions, hardwood floors and substantial closet storage, including walk-in closets. Windowed kitchens and baths recur in the layouts, in-unit washers and dryers are permitted, and the residential program incorporates terraces and balconies.

The building’s central amenity is a 50 foot infinity pool set in a glass enclosed atrium. The fourth floor health club also has a spa, cardio center, yoga studio and treatment rooms, while landscaped terraces and a rooftop terrace add outdoor space.

A two story marble lobby is staffed by a 24 hour doorman and concierge. Other facilities include resident and gaming lounges, a wide fireplace, catering kitchen, bike room and on-site parking, along with a live-in superintendent and complimentary continental breakfast; pets are allowed.
