493 Second Avenue is a renovated five story, 18 unit rental building in Murray Hill, dating to 1920. Its pre war walk up format is paired with updated interiors, and the apartments are largely one bedroom layouts with high ceilings and efficient proportions.
Apartments commonly have in-unit laundry, hardwood floors, exposed brick, and renovated kitchens with granite counters and dishwashers. Marble bathrooms, recessed lighting, walk-in closets, and stainless steel appliances also recur among the residences, while a private roof deck is associated with at least one apartment.
The building is pet friendly, with cats and dogs permitted, and has on site laundry in addition to the in-unit machines found in many apartments. Madison Square Park is a short walk away, with restaurants, nightlife, shopping, and neighborhood services concentrated along Second Avenue and the surrounding Murray Hill and Kips Bay blocks.
