Overview of 111 Mercer Street

111 Mercer Street is a four residence condominium in SoHo occupying a pre war cast iron building designed in 1868 by Henry Fernbach and completed around 1900. It was converted to residential use in 2013 by Veracity Development, with Grzywinski Pons as the conversion architect. The building retains its cast iron façade, large wood framed windows, and high ceilings.

The residential program is unusually compact: three full floor two bedroom lofts and a triplex penthouse. The penthouse is organized vertically, with its main living level opening to east and west terraces and a roof terrace above, while the bedrooms occupy a lower level. The combined private outdoor space is reported at more than 1,300 square feet, including an outdoor fireplace and a roof terrace with an outdoor kitchen.

The full floor lofts have open living areas, direct key access, ceilings reaching 10 feet or more, wide plank white oak floors, and oversized windows. Kitchens have large islands, stone countertops, premium integrated appliances, and vented ranges; bathrooms include soaking tubs, steam showers, and radiant heated floors. In unit washers and dryers are also standard in the described residences, and some homes retain exposed brick and cast iron columns.

The building has a virtual doorman, video intercom, and concierge and housekeeping services associated with the nearby Nolitan Hotel, owned and managed by the developers. It is located between Prince and Spring streets in the SoHo Cast Iron Historic District, close to the Mercer Hotel, restaurants, galleries, shops, and nightlife.
