The building is attributed to architect Charles Mettam, who also designed the canopied catafalque that bore President Lincoln’s coffin, and it retains original 19th century details in the heart of SoHo’s Cast Iron District.
The lofts are defined by generous proportions and flexible layouts, with ceilings generally rising above 11 feet, oversized windows, and open interiors often organized with mezzanines. Several apartments have private terraces or courtyards, while private cellar storage is associated with multiple lofts. Cast Iron Court Corporation is professionally managed and permits pets. Ownership also includes an interest in the building’s street level retail property, which produces income distributed to shareholders.
