100 Jane Street is a 9 story, 148 apartment rental completed in 1996 at the northwest corner of Jane and Washington Streets. Designed by Avinash K. Malhotra for Rockrose, the project was made possible by the removal of the southernmost portion of the High Line and contains 30 affordable apartments.
The exterior is red brick above a rusticated one story base, with a canopied entrance and narrow cornice facing the cobblestone street. Balconies and terraces add private outdoor space to the apartment mix. Apartment 2R has a duplex plan that places the principal living and sleeping spaces above a lower recreation level.
The building has a doorman, concierge, live-in superintendent, central laundry, and fitness center. A rooftop terrace, landscaped outdoor areas, and pet friendly policy round out the amenities.
The building occupies the western edge of the West Village, where the neighborhood meets the Meatpacking District. Hudson River Park is immediately west, while the district's restaurants and galleries and the southern entrance to the High Line are several blocks south.
