The Varet is a newly completed, seven story rental building in 2025 where Williamsburg meets Bushwick, with 35 apartments designed by Meshberg Group, an Architectural Digest AD100 firm. The building has a mix of studios, one bedroom apartments, and two bedroom apartments, with a compact scale and a contemporary design.
Apartment layouts are open and generally rise to 10 or 11 foot ceilings, with oversized windows, recessed lighting, storage, and in unit washers and dryers. Kitchens have stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, tiled backsplashes, and custom cabinetry, while bathrooms include deep soaking tubs and, in primary baths, expansive showers. Select residences extend outdoors to private patios, balconies, rooftop terraces, or a wraparound terrace.
Shared spaces include a landscaped roof deck with lounge seating, a fire pit, barbecues, and outdoor dining areas. Indoors, the sunset lounge has a media area, gaming space, billiard table, and kitchenette, while the fitness center includes cardio and weight equipment, spin bikes, free weights, and a yoga and movement studio. The building also has a virtual doorman, 24 hour package room, mail room, bike room, game room, laundry room, and smoke free policy.
The Varet is a few blocks from the Williamsburg Bridge and minutes from the Montrose Avenue L train station and the Flushing Avenue J and M station. Pets are allowed.
