Overview of Normandie Court at 205 East 95th Street
Normandie Court is a three tower rental complex occupying the full block between Second and Third Avenues and East 95th and 96th Streets in Yorkville. Developed by Milford Management in 1987 and designed by the Vilkas Group, its 34 story towers contain 1,477 apartments. Beige brick façades are divided by brown brick vertical accents, with space between the slab shaped buildings breaking up the development’s mass.
Landscaped grounds include a waterfall near Third Avenue and canopied entrances serving the three towers. A health club and indoor pool occupy the roof of one tower, while two roof observation decks, a tenant lounge, fitness center, garden, bike room, and full service garage with valet parking round out the shared spaces. The complex also has full time doorman and concierge service, central air conditioning, laundry facilities, and a live-in superintendent.
Many apartments have high ceilings, hardwood floors, and oversized windows. Alcove studio plans with western exposures recur in the rental mix, and the building also contains larger layouts that have been configured with flex walls. Separate kitchens, generous storage, and broad living and dining spaces have also been represented among its rentals.
The 96th Street Q station is at Second Avenue along the complex’s eastern edge, and the 6 train stops at Lexington Avenue and East 96th Street. An entrance to the FDR Drive lies farther east, while Carnegie Hill begins to the west and south.
