Carter Horsley's Building Review Carter Horsley
Dec 23, 2011
43 CITYREALTY RATING

Carter's Review

This attractive, 6-story, apartment building was erected in 1927 and converted to a cooperative in 1990. It has 48 units.

The red-brick building has fire-escapes and a canopied entrance with a limestone entrance surround, and a one-step-up entrance. It has protruding air-conditioners, consistent fenestration and sidewalk landscaping with spiked planters. It has no terraces, no doorman and no health club. It is on the same street as the Zion St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church.

There is good cross-town bus service on 86th Street but the nearest subway station is at Lexington Avenue and 86th Street. There are many schools in the area which is close to the Carl Scburz Park along the East River.
