Its corner site has considerable light and air because two opposing corners are low rise and the remaining corner is occupied by a tower set back in a plaza. A two story limestone base and stainless steel entrance anchor the beige brick exterior; on the south façade, an indented dark brown brick section breaks up the tower’s massing.
The building has a 24 hour attended lobby with doorman and concierge service. A 2,700 square foot furnished roof deck forms the main shared outdoor space, while the fitness center, residents lounge, common dining room and children’s playroom round out the interior amenities. Valet parking, dry cleaning, pet services, a live-in superintendent and a central laundry room are also offered, and pets are allowed.
Apartments have central air, and many renovated homes have in-unit washers and dryers. Several renovated residences have open Manhattan skyline views from every room, reinforced by the tower’s many corner windows and open surroundings. The residential design also incorporates private terraces and balconies.
Whole Foods is one block away, with Central Park and Museum Mile farther west along 86th Street and Carl Schurz Park to the east. The 86th Street station at Lexington Avenue serves the 4, 5 and 6 trains, while the 86th Street station at Second Avenue serves the Q.
