Murray Hill Mews CLOSE
This 36-story apartment tower was one of the tallest in the Murray Hill area when it was built in 1974. A sheer tower with no balconies, it is also one of the most impressive with a strong sense of verticality accented by slightly recessed bays on its long sides. The building has 262 apartments, all with very large picture windows and it was converted to a cooperative in 1982. Because of its height and location, many apartments on upper floors have dazzling views. Its central location in Murray Hill, one of the city's most attractive neighborhoods, is just a few blocks from Grand Central Terminal, the New York Public Library and the Morgan Library.
