Carter Horsley's Review of Lincoln Plaza Towers

Carter Horsley's Building Review
"This is one of the best of first major new apartment towers that sprouted up around Lincoln Center for The Performing Arts.

Rising without setbacks, this tower's form is highlighted by its curved balconies that are not frilly grills but extensions of the building's rough-hewn, striated façade. The rounded balconies catch the tower, which was completed in 1973, "in an embrace of cylindrical columns," as Norval White and Elliot Willensky observed in their marvelous book, "The A.I.A. Guide to New York City, Third Edition," published in 1988 by Harcourt Brace Jovanovich." Read Carter's Full Review
