About The Saratoga, 330 East 75th Street
This 39-story, 197-unit condominium tower has a rather quirky charm to it.
For starters, it has a freestanding sidewalk clock.
Its thin frontage on the avenue almost qualifies the building as a "sliver," but its massing is visually a bit deceptive as the top third or so of its tower is chamfered at its north corner on the avenue while its column of balconies on the avenue façade changes from the top to the lower third. The building has a low-rise wing on the sidestreet.
Designed by Schuman, Lichtenstein, Claman & Efron, this 197-unit tower was completed in 1984. Its red-brick façade is modulated by horizontal bands of windows in a nice rhythmic manner.
The building has a doorman and concierge, a garage, a sundeck, video security, storage space and valet service.
